A typical AUSOM Meeting

These photos were taken at the first monthly meeting at AUSOM's new meeting venue — NewHope Baptist Church, 3/7 Springfield Rd, Blackburn North.

The main club meeting and all SIG meetings are held in air conditioned lecture rooms with overhead projectors or flat panel LCD displays.

Attendance varies with the time of year, weather, guest presenter, and football schedule, but is typically 120–140.

Each SIG organizes its own program, which is publicised in AUSOM News and also at the club meeting.

Carpark

Our new (from April '10) monthly meeting venue — NewHope Baptist Church, corner Middleborough and Springfield Rds, Blackburn North.

NewsNoon

President Susan conducts 'News @ Noon' which is the first order of afternoon business, keeping members informed of club news and items of special interest.

Presentation

Each meeting features a special presentation by either a guest or a member, here Ron and Geoff, FirstClass System administrators, in the Events Room.

Cafeteria

The cafe provides a spacious area for socializing, discussing problems, and of course eating lunch

iWorkSIG

Editor Pam conducts the iWork SIG, one of several morning Special Interest Groups, in the Main Hall.

Librarian

Librarian Colette is kept busy keeping track of the books available for monthly loan, covering both current and past versions of popular software.

FrontDesk2

The club store at an AUSOM meeting is a busy place, handling memberships as well as sales of shareware and Apple Update CDs, and general enquiries.

GenealogySIG

Genealogy is an interest shared by many AUSOM members. Here convenor Avril makes a presentation to the Genealogy SIG.
